Experience

• As a full stack developer John has created applications that handle thousands of transactions per day and hundreds of millions of dollars per day.
• As a college instructor John has taught several computer courses both online and in person.
• As a trainer John has engaged with dozens of companies across the country and across the world. These ranged from technical training sessions on specific applications to hands on workshops where students learned how to build multi-tiered applications in a real world environment using Scrum.
• As a coach he has embedded with teams to help them transform from software delivery team using waterfall to a software delivery team using Scrum.
• As an instructional designer he has developed 16 week courses to be delivered inperson, online, and hybrid. He has also developed several modules of a 10 week boot camp.

John has a BS from Miami University in Sytems Analysis and a MS from the University of Cincinnati in IT.

The Hamilton Road Story

John grew up on a small country road in Ohio. There he learned the importance of family, working hard, and what can be done when working as a community instead of just as an individual. His love for computers grew when his mom, a third grade teacher, introduced him to Apple computers. Although they did not have one at home, he was able to learn about computers and even help his mom with technology from time to time. He spent hours at the local library typing in programs and learning the basics of what a computer does.

His passion grew and he went to Miami University to learn even more. In the summers he came home and worked in a factory and a lumber yard to earn spending money. After graduating college, he started solving problems through programming and he never looked back.

Now John has decades of experience that includes writing and designing applications, teaching, training individuals and teams across the world, and coaching teams to use Scrum.

Today John looks forward to meeting new people and working with them to build on the success they have and help them meet the needs of tomorrow.
